Newsletter for the first day of school
August 20, 2012
Dear Parents,
We had a fabulous
first day of school, and I am looking forward to continuing the school year
with your children. We had a lot of fun
activities today; we played some getting to know you games, and we made a
project (which is hanging up in our hallway). We also started working on a
“getting to know me” book that we are each going to present to the class at the
end of the week.
We spoke about
Mitzvah notes today in class and about how important it is to do lots of
mitzvoth before Rosh Hashana. I sent home some blank mitzvah notes for you to
fill out. Please cut them out and send them to school with your children in the
ziplock bag provided for them in their folder, and I will read them out loud to
the class after davening.
We had a special
assembly where we got to meet our senior buddies, and we each received our very
own cap. Then we ate lunch and had recess together with our senior buddies.
Just a few notes:
1- Please provide your children with 1 or 2
snacks a day for recess. Please only send nut free snacks as some
of the children in our school have nut allergies.
2- Please send a few rolls of pennies for
Tzedakah (the children will keep them in their cubbies.)
3- There is note paper in your child’s
folder; if you have any questions or concerns throughout the year, or any other
comment you would like to share about your child please feel free to do so.
Thank you so much and all the best,
Morah Aronowitz and Morah Naomi
